RE-IMAGINING A CLASSIC

For our first project, we are looking to recreate an old classic from yesteryear “Simon”.

SI (or Sequential Intelligence) tests your memory at increasingly challenging colour sequences to see how far you can go.

POLISHED GAMEPLAY

With sharp visuals and immersive sound design, the whole experience is designed to be as intuitive and tactile as possible.

GAME MODES, DIFFICULTIES and MODIFIERS

The game comes shipped with two different modes, Timed and Unlimited.

The timed mode pits you against the clock to complete a set size sequence as fast as possible.

With Unlimited the clue is in the title. How far can you go!

For both Game Modes there are 3 difficulties to allow you to build your understanding of the game better. Modifiers are different takes on the standard Game Modes. They modify the rule set to give you a new and more difficult challenge.

Simple Vector Icons - Unruly Games

Created a project to show my capabilities in Unity. This will be an evolving project as over time I will be adding new content and features to demonstrate my experience.

This version of the demo has been created in less than a month and has a few elements of interest.

The main update loop for the program runs off of a Finite state machine with each state being a mode for the project to be in. Currently there are two states, Menu and Main. These states have been implemented as interfaces to allow for multiple people to work on different modes at the same time.

INFORMATION

Developed over 2 months with help from a animator to develop a concept for an athletics game targeting low powered devices such as phones and tablets. Currently an ongoing project.

This has been a side project experiment to test how long it would take to create a management game. The current state of the game has implemented some important features.

A runner creation system has been formed to allow easy creation of multiple unique runners stored in a jSON structure. This gives me the ability to generate multiple runners in an easily accessible database for use in the game.

For the race itself, the runners use a spline system in conjunction with a waypoint system to navigate the race. This part of the game went through a few iterations including using a nav mesh but I settled on using a spline as it is far more predictable and controllable for what I want. The spline allows me to create different events which needs to curve, like a 400m race, and allows me to add some random movement on the track by moving the spline side to side as the runner progresses through the race adding a layer of complexity to the race.

As well as a spline system I take advantage of waypoints to allow me to track the positions of the runners as they progress through the race as well as create a cinematic camera experience which simulates a real life race.

INFORMATION

A technical demo based on unity's physics engine. The aim for this project is to create a stable hovercraft which can react to the terrain in a realistic way. The hovercraft itself has four upwards thrusters which are communicating with each other to keep the hovercraft level.

INFORMATION

Developed vertical slice, worked on the gameplay and framework. Consisted of 6 programmers and 12 artists over a 7 month period. You play as the wisp supporting young odin as they traverse the level while avoiding enemies, navigating traps, solving puzzles and staying together to avoid being spotted by heimdalls gaze.
